OK, I have just taken part in Frock it for the first time over at The Mid 30's Life and managed to do it wrong, I entered last weeks instead of this weeks (durrh) and I couldn't just re-paste my link as this week there is a theme typical, so I am trying again, and hope to do it right this time.
My second entry comes from Cannes (as requested) and is the following dress:
I don't think I like this one, I love the colour and think it looks great with her skin tone and hair but as for the leather look and the feather/flower things on the sleeve, nope it just doesn't work for me. I am also in awe of how she is managing to do the backwards, side glance without the feathery stuff making her sneeze!

Well she's looking pretty pleased with herself, maybe it's really comfy?
I think if the flowery / feathery / fluffy things it could be OK? But probably still not enough oomph for something as glam as Cannes.
I'm with you, it's just not working for me.
Thanks for joining in!
I saw an image of this head on and it didn't look right. Like she should be handing out flyers for Red Rooster (and Aussie chicken take-away place). Plus the idea of mixing leather and feathers is a bit to plucky for me.
Thanks for frocking!
I love the colour, but I'm not loving the leather at all - ewwww! Who is she, anyway?
Its Salma Hayak (apologies if spelt wrong)
I saw a pic of this face on, definitely looks better side on. The feathery bits don't look so huge. I love the colour, but leather? Maybe a bit sweaty Betty in Cannes?
Hasn't she just, or recently, had a baby? She looks great baby-figure-wise. Or am I thinking of someone else.
I think in a softer material this dress could've worked, leather however (hey that rhymes) is a bit hardcore and sheeny. Salma is gorgeous and yes I think she's just had a baby - great figure, must be Spanx - so obv wants to make a bold choice for Cannes!
